Chiang Mai has long been known as a magnet for digital nomads, and now it is where I call home!
Since I regularly enjoy my work-from-coworking-space sessions in Chiang Mai, I thought it would be a great idea to try out as many spaces as possible before finally settling on a favorite.
Every single place I have included here is where I have actually worked. I spent a few weeks in some of these places, whereas others I only tried with a day pass.
Since everyone has different needs, finding the right spot is a crucial thing to find. For instance, some people are really into having a quiet, professional office.
Then again, plenty of travelers just want a social atmosphere and a cheaper place.
So that you can make a choice, I have marked the advantages and disadvantages for each. Without further ado, here are the options I consider the best!
Coworking Space Chiang Mai: What Did I Look For?
Picking a coworking space Chiang Mai is quite a personal process since we all have different work “rhythms.”
After living as a digital nomad here for some time, I have figured out what kind of workspace works for me.
I guess you could say I like a proper “work zone.” Typically, I put in 40 hours a week, so I can’t just work on a tiny coffee shop table.
That means I need a real desk and a chair that can support my back during those long eight-hour stretches.
On the other hand, I love the flexibility of a hot desk, giving me the opportunity to change my area every single day, which is really nice!
Another essential for me is privacy. Even though I only have a handful of one-on-one calls every week, I can’t stand the feeling that everyone is overhearing my business.
That is why I focus on locations that have call booths that can be closed off.
Moreover, since I work late into the night on my blog or sometimes catch a meeting with another time zone, the 24/7 keycard access is huge for me.
For me, the priority isn’t really to find a social club, since I have already made some good friends here, but I do like spaces that host events for newcomers.
Actually, I’ve rated these places based on my own lifestyle, but I have been fair, so you can find what suits you!
Top Coworking Space Chiang Mai That You Must Check Out!
To help you get acquainted with each coworking space in Chiang Mai, I’ve shared some additional thoughts from my personal experience in these spaces.
The effectiveness of your working location can significantly impact your work results, so here is a thorough analysis!
1. Yellow Coworking

Yellow is by far the one I love the most, and where I had my longest stays. It’s right in the center of Nimman and gives off a very professional aura.
When you enter, the first thing you’ll notice is how quiet it is, as everyone is engrossed in their work.
The Vibe: Serious workers only, and a very productive environment.
The Details: The workstations are huge. This means you will have more than enough space for your laptop, mouse, and notebook.
Power points are laid out generously. So you will never need to charge your devices. There is also a very quiet zone upstairs for members who require zero distractions.
A Small Warning: The call booths are designed for standing only. They are fine for a 15-minute chat. However, if you have a 1-hour conversation, they can become quite stuffy and hot.
Price: ฿429/day | ฿5, 990/month (24/7 access for weekly/monthly members).
2. Punspace (Wiang Kaew)
Punspace has long been recognized as one of the top coworking spaces in the city. The Wiang Kaew site is just stunning, with a large open-air courtyard with many trees.
It is a wonderful blend of working indoors and relaxing outdoors.
The Vibe: A quiet and green refuge right in the heart of the Old City.
The Details: The indoor space is fitted with very comfortable, ergonomic chairs. Outside, there is a little coffee stand where you can get a latte and mingle with other nomads.
They also organize community events to facilitate meeting locals and expats.
Price: ฿289/day | ฿3, 899/month.
3. Alt_Chiang Mai

I stayed here for my two weeks in Chiang Mai, and it was like becoming part of a community right from the start.
As it is a coliving facility, residents really live there, which creates very warm, sociable vibes.
The Vibe: Contemporary, fashionable, and very welcoming.
The Details: Upstairs is a quiet studio room where you can “lock in.” Whereas the main floor is a little more social.
The coffee shop inside has some of the finest coffee in the location. This is an exemplary venue for a newbie who seeks to make friends fast.
Price: ฿320/day | ฿4, 000/month.
4. Weave / Smart&Start
I think this is one of the most wonderful interiors I’ve ever laid my eyes on.
It is part of the Weave Artisan Society, a former warehouse converted into a creative hub. There is also a chocolate factory on the premises!
The Vibe: Aesthetic, open, and very “hip.”
The Details: It is the upstairs coworking zone with very open spaces and high ceilings.
Also, it is very quiet most of the time, which is great if you like having a lot of personal space. The downstairs cafe is a lovely spot for a lunch break.
Price: ฿250/day | ฿5,800/month.
5. Brick Coworking

Brick is situated in a very peaceful area of Nimman. I have attended a few workshops here and have found their staff very helpful each time.
The Vibe: Cheerful, open, and very hospitable.
The Details: The main feature here is that they have adjustable standing desks. If you get tired of sitting all day, just push a button and work on your feet.
It has a lot of natural light, which keeps your energy up even during the times when you’d normally feel the afternoon slump.
Price: ฿250/day | ฿2, 500/month.
6. Hub53
Located close to the canal road, Hub53 is a very popular choice among nomads who are on a tight budget.
The place has a very strong ‘coliving’ vibe where everyone knows each other.
The Vibe: Intimate, social, and extremely relaxing.
The Details: Although I really enjoyed the community here, I thought the desks were a little small.
If you use more than one monitor or have a lot of equipment, you might feel a little cramped.
But it’s still one of the cheapest places around, and you will not have to walk far to get some great street food.
Price: ฿189/day | ฿3, 299/month.
7. CAMP (Maya Mall)
On the 5th floor of Maya Mall is a huge space that resembles a futuristic library. It’s open quite late, which is a plus if you have a deadline.
The Vibe: Mostly students and casual workers.
The Details: You don’t have to pay for a ‘pass’ here; you only buy a drink or food. Making a ฿50 purchase will get you a code for two hours of WiFi.
It’s not great for a whole workday, as you have to keep buying things to stay connected, but it’s a very good ’emergency’ place.
Price: Around ฿50 per 2 hours of WiFi.
8. Life Space
This is such a unique place near the university. It is pretty much a library-cafe hybrid with some very creative seating options.
The Vibe: Laid-back and spirited.
The Details: They have “soft play” style areas with big cushions where you can work while lounging. It is a great venue for a change of scenery but do be aware that locating a desk with a power outlet might be quite challenging here. The coffee not only tastes great but is also very cheap.
Price: ฿180/day.
9. Socialer
This is a small workspace connected to a hostel in Santitham. The neighborhood is very local with lots of great food options nearby.
The Vibe: Super casual and raw.
The Details: The furniture is quite a mix-and-match, and it does not really look like a fancy office.
If you are staying at the hostel and only need to send a few emails, it’s the perfect place.
However, it probably will not be comfortable enough for you to spend 40 hours a week working there.
Price: ฿200/day | ฿3,999/month.
10. NIM Space

NIM Space is a hidden gem, if you are looking for a spot in Nimman that is not overrun with tourists!
It feels much more like a private office than a public hub. This is perfect for deep work.
The Vibe: A quiet, “local” feel with plenty of natural light.
The Details: The massive floor-to-ceiling window makes the space feel huge. Moreover, it features large desks with dedicated outlets and ergonomic chairs.
Furthermore, it is often unstaffed. However, they offer 24/7 access via a key card once you’re signed up.
Price: Contact for rates.
11. Greenhouse Community Space
This is a great alternative if the more popular Nimman spots are full. It is tucked away and tends to stay much quieter. This makes it ideal for those who get easily distracted.
The Vibe: Peaceful, focused, and tucked away from the main road noise.
The Details: A standout feature here is the dedicated recording room. It’s fitted with sound panels, so if you’re a podcaster or need to film high-quality video content, this is your spot.
Price: ฿200/day | ฿3,000/month.
12. BuriSiri Hotel
Sometimes you just need to get out of the office environment entirely.
Working from this hotel lobby and poolside is the ultimate “digital nomad” luxury experience! That too, without the high price tag.
The Vibe: The ultimate “work-from-pool” holiday experience.
The Details: When you buy a day pass, they include a soft drink and gives you full access to the hotel pool and sun loungers.
It is better for light tasks than a 10-hour grind, but the scenery is unbeatable.
Price: ฿150/day | ฿3,000/month.
13. Punspace (Tha Phae Gate)
While you liked the Wiang Kaew branch for its garden, this sister site near the gate is the powerhouse of the two.
It is much larger, and it is usually easier to find a desk during the busy season.
The Vibe: A brighter, more open, and industrial-chic alternative.
The Details: It lacks the outdoor courtyard, but the indoor space is expansive. It is a very reliable “ol’ faithful” spot!
Where you know the internet will be fast. And even the chairs will be good.
Price: ฿289/day | ฿3,899/month.
14. The Social Club
This is one of the most unique spots in the Old City. It’s famous among the nomad community not just for the work setup, but for the furry coworkers that roam the halls.
The Vibe: Extremely tight-knit and social; comes with four resident “emotional support” cats.
The Details: It boasts some of the fastest internet in the city (near 485 Mbps). During peak season, they sometimes limit the number of daily passes to make room for people staying in their coliving rooms.
Price: ฿350/day | ฿3,750/month.
15. Regus Chiang Mai

If you have an important corporate meeting or just miss the feeling of a high-end skyscraper office, Regus is the most professional option in town.
The Vibe: Corporate, professional, and very high-end.
The Details: It’s located inside the Icon Park Hotel. If you travel a lot, a membership here is a lifesaver because it usually grants you access to their lounges globally. It’s definitely the “suit and tie” of the list.
Price: ฿550/day | ฿4,490/month.
16. One Workspace
Located in the cool Santitham neighborhood, this space is connected to Tora Bake, which means you’re never more than a few steps away from incredible pastries and coffee.
The Vibe: Minimalist “white-box” design that feels very clean and modern.
The Details: This is one of the most budget-friendly monthly options. They also offer locker and monitor add-on deals.
This is a huge plus if you hate carrying your gear back and forth every day.
Price: ฿249/day | ฿3,199/month.
17. RealSpace
This place is built for the “work hard, play hard” crowd. It feels less like a library and more like a clubhouse for creators and techies.
The Vibe: A high-energy community hub that hosts beer pong and networking events.
The Details: They have a VR room, a cinema, and even a massage chair. Most importantly, it has the fastest Wi-Fi tested in the city, at nearly 600 Mbps.
It is also incredibly cheap for a monthly pass.
Price: ฿250/day | ฿1,200/month.
18. ALT_PingRiver

If you loved the community at the first ALT_ location, you’ll appreciate this one too. It’s situated in a much quieter, more scenic part of town right near the river.
The Vibe: This has a unique Thai charm. It is a converted traditional house rather than a modern office.
The Details: It carries the same warm, welcoming “community” energy. However, it feels a bit more relaxed and “homely” thanks to the traditional architecture.
Great for getting away from the Nimman buzz.
Price: ฿320/day | ฿4,000/month.
19. The Story 106
Similar to CAMP, this is a great choice if you do not want to commit to a full membership fee! You can also have access to a high-quality work environment for a few hours.
The Vibe: A massive, two-building cafe hybrid with a very “designer” feel.
The Details: You pay through your food and drink orders. If you spend over ฿200, you get 5 hours of high-speed internet.
Moreover, the food menu is actually really good, making it a perfect “lunch and work” destination.
Price: Variable (Based on food/drink consumption).
Alternatives That You Have!
You’ll find quite a few Starbucks locations scattered all over the city.
Honestly, they are not my first choice for a coworking space Chiang Mai because I prefer to support local businesses where the money stays in the community.
However, everyone needs a safety net! Starbucks is always my “backup to the backup” plan.
Because, no matter where you are in the world, you know exactly what you’re getting: decent WiFi and a familiar menu.
While it is a massive global chain, it can be a lifesaver if your usual spot is closed or the internet goes down elsewhere.
The Vibe: Familiar, corporate, and predictable.
The Details: It is not a dedicated office, so you will not find ergonomic chairs or quiet zones. However, the WiFi is usually very reliable and easy to connect to.
It is a good spot for a quick hour of work between meetings. However, the noise level can be high since it’s a busy cafe.
Additionally, the coffee is exactly the same as back home, which is sometimes a comfort!
Price: Free with the purchase of a drink (prices vary).
